Frank Lloyd Wright House Up For Auction
A Frank Lloyd Wright house up for auction is the Sondern-Adler house in Kansas City, Missouri.
The original FLW design plans date from 1939 with the expansion of the house made by Wright in 1948.
This Frank Lloyd Wright House Is A Gem
Heritage Auctions Luxury Real Estate has the Frank Lloyd house up for auction on August 12. “Renowned in Kansas City, the Sondern-Adler House has delighted its stewards and visitors for generations.”
Interestingly, Frank Lloyd Wright called the house “a little gem.” Rich in history, in 1939 the first owner, Clarence Sondern, had FLW design it as a 900-square foot home.
Later on, the second owner, Arnold Adler hired Wright in 1948 to expand the home to its current 2965 square feet, adding a great room, a third bedroom, and two additional bathrooms.
The current owner, Jim Blair said “This house is a piece of art. Heritage Auctions appreciates that and is treating it that way. The fact that someone can invest in it at auction now is a great opportunity. It’s like being able to buy a Monet.”

Really, brick walls add a cozy atmosphere to homes.
It’s a dream come true opportunity for Frank Lloyd Wright fans to own this one of a kind three bedroom, three bathroom estate.
Whoohoo! The last listing for this little modern piece of FLW art was $1,650,000. It would be fun to be a fly on the wall to watch the bidding. I bet there is a lot of interest about this home.
Thank you to Heritage Auctions Luxury Real Estate where you can see more photos of the house and learn more about the auction.
