Drenched in beachy orange, the circa 1950 cottage has been beautifully updated since I first featured Castaway in Tybee Island Vacation – Mermaid Cottages.
If you didn’t already know, families flock to Tybee Island for vacation and the Mermaid Cottages are very popular rentals to stay in while on vacation.
Here’s a view of Castaway back in 2013 when I featured many of the historic Mermaid Cottage rentals. The shutters are painted a darker green now and the landscaping is updated.
Plus, I remember back in 2013 this adorable cottage the Pink Flamingo Cottage c1930 was for sale. It was “featured on a Today Show real estate segment in 2011.” Here are two photos of Pink Flamingo.
