Robin Williams Napa Valley Villa For Sale
ROBIN WILLIAMS NAPA VALLEY VILLA
It would be so nice to buy Robin Williams Napa Valley Villa and have my own vineyard. There is even a Caretaker’s house with 4 bedrooms and 4 baths, so I’d be all set with built in help with the house, 18 + acres of vineyards, horse barn with 9 stalls and riding and hiking trails. Not to mention approximately 639 acres with a spring fed pond and over 100 olive trees. The vineyards produce Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc varietals.
No wonder Zillow blog shared the house, also known as Villa Sorrisa (villa of smiles), is called the “crown jewel of Napa.”
The Tuscan style Villa was designed by David Gast and Associates in 2003. The exterior is a dramatic classic. Inside is beautifully designed with trappings us earthlings can only dream of like gold leaf and verdigris ceilings and oak panels with mother-of-pearl inlay.
I noticed it was on the market for 35 million in 2012 before Robin Williams death and is now 22.9 million.
It’s been a little over a year now since he left us so tragically. I am beginning to enjoy watching his movies again without being as sad.
Robin Williams Napa Valley Villa is listed as a vineyard estate:
superbly sited atop the Mayacamas Mountains in the renowned Mount Veeder grape-growing appellation. Located between the Napa and Sonoma Valleys.
I never thought about where Robin Williams lived. It is nice to get a glimpse of his California Villa.
This is likely the look-out tower mentioned in the listing details. What a great house.
A PEEK INTO NAPA VALLEY VINEYARD ESTATE LIVING
Inside is lush drapery and the size of the fireplace is astounding.
DINING ROOM
The dining room has kind of a kingly feel. What I keep staring at is the double decker chandelier.
KITCHEN
The kitchen is not so impressive, but it’s on a large scale and I don’t think this photo does it justice.
BEDROOM
Time to gush over the gold leaf bedroom ceiling and architectural design.
ONE OF THE MANY BATHROOMS
HOME THEATRE
It really is a grand and classy mansion tastefully done inside and out.
Villa Sorriso is “at the end of a quiet country lane.”
My favorites inside the Robin Williams Napa house are the dining room and bedroom. Outside I love the grounds and infinity pool.

Hi Crystal – Interesting that you did not picture him here. If I recall correctly he had a beach house too.
This is a beautiful place, but I would never have pictured him in this kind of home. Amazing how in our minds someone can live in a totally different type of home than what you envision for them. I honestly figured he’d live in a down home cottage style home.
I know, it is so sad so I hope a look where he lived with let us remember him fondly.
It is a beautiful home! So sad how he died.
Your welcome Cyndi and remembering Robin Williams is an honor I think, he was so talented. Loved your post about your office makeover progression and making beds.
You’re absolutely right Ron, I am envious of the new owners who get this lovely horse ranch.
Big your welcome Anj and now I know you like billiard rooms too.
Loved the home at first sight & then when you got to billiard room oh wow. Love love love thanks so much for the great look inside.
This is a very nice house. For sure Robin Williams loved this so much. It will be a great property for someone who will end up buying or owning this one. Amazing.
I agree. So sad! I once knew a relative of someone that worked for him I think while he lived in this home. I don’t think a day would go by when I wouldn’t think of him if I lived in either of these homes. Thanks for the memories!
WOW, that’s an amazing estate for sure. I love every inch of it. What a sad day it was when he passed. He was so very talented. He is missed greatly. Beautiful home Sue. Was nice to get a glimpse of what it looks like.
