Farmhouse of the Angels in Puglia Italy For Sale
FARMHOUSE OF THE ANGELS IN ITALY
Farmhouse of the Angels in Puglia, Italy is today’s home tour. A 17th Century Romanesque villa called Masseria Degli Angeli, translates to Fortified farmhouse of Angels in Italian. It has been lovingly restored by owner Julia Silk and her husband. I am dreaming of owning an elegant villa in romantic Puglia, Italy.
Puglia is in the heel of Italy’s boot. New owners will enter through an arched stone gate with ancient stone paving. Inside Farmhouse of the Angels are stone ceilings, barrel ceilings and stone floors. A crenelations bell tower and arrow slit windows from ancient times to shoot arrows. This is medieval European architecture; updated for today’s farmhouse living. Julia tells me there is an angel stained glass window and angel wings marble mosaic above the roman bath.
A private courtyard with a Roman bath and tiled veranda with stone columns. Set in the quiet countryside with olive, pine and almond trees. Mama Mia! Heads up HGTV House Hunters International. Send your real estate agents to see this charming Farmhouse! Mediterranean climate has dry hot summers and mild winters.
We are now inside the entrance gate…..
that has tall wood fortress doors and Jasmine framing the arch.
Keep cool under the Veranda. This is old world traditional living full of so much character your memories will be colored forever while living here.
Sunbathe, eat, and entertain on any one of the three roof terraces.
At night use the courtyard wall for your cinema entertainment. Inside the Farmhouse, there is a multiuse room for large cinema viewing too.
Flowers frame one of the Farmhouse statues.
The Bell Tower on the roof ready for new owners to ring.
Kitchen farmhouse fireplace and sink looks like it was lifted out of a romance movie.
Plenty of room for open shelving. Many of the rooms in the villa have stone floors.
Unusual thought-provoking star vaulted stone ceilings bring old-century living to life.
Farmhouse of the Angels has a lot of multiple use rooms. This lounge or bar area has a barrel ceiling and other rooms have the star vaulted ceilings.
I think their bathrooms are incredible Romanesque renovation pieces of art. Julia says: “We designed the bathroom pedestals ourselves. A neighbor’s son had the molds to make the columns which he molded for us. Then we had to cut the back out to take the plumbing. There is a marble yard nearby who cut the marble for us with the hole in the middle to make the bowl-shaped sinks.”
Acreage of 7.76 with an olive grove and room for farm animals.
A last look at the entrance to Masseria Degli Angeli, Farmhouse of the Angels, as the sun sets. Walking on Sunshine, a dancing, singing Mama Mia type film opens in theaters later this summer. The film is set in Puglia. Helen Mirren owns a home here too. After the film debuts, houses in the Puglia area may be set for a flourish of house hunters. Farmhouse of the Angels may not be available much longer. You can make her your own for $610,000 euros or $820,000 US dollars. Head over to MasseriaPubliaItalyblogspot.it for more photos and read more about the property.
I have to share their exquisite video that carries you away to someplace special.
Arrivederci and have a day filled with smiles,
Sue

Oh sure, LOL. The owners of this villa would love you for that as they are looking to sell soon. Let’s put your trailer on a boat and ship it to Italy and take the tour. I am always so happy to see you again. P.S., from what I hear SC is wonderful.
Wow, maybe I should give up the house search in SC…. 😉
I like your perspective on how wonderful the courtyard, terraces, and roman bath are and being outside is part of the home plan.

love love love everything but the kitchen but with that courtyard who the heck would spend anytime inside
Hi Mica, I have to agree that the two bells captured my attention at once. I would love to have a house with bell towers. Have a nice weekend.
BEAUTIFUL!!! I love the exterior part of the villa. The arches indeed are so cute and the roof terraces look perfect for relaxation. The bell tower is my favorite though. I don’t know why but it has some charm in it. 🙂
Great to hear from an Italian and get your approval. Julia is hoping their villa will sell soon and I was so happy to feature her beautiful home in an exotic land. I am always so happy to hear from you.
Oh my!! I would love that outdoor cinema courtyard. My Dad was born in northern Italy, so I’ve always had an interest in this country and its beauty. Thank you for showing it to us!! xx
Hi House Crazy Sarah, I knew you would have a great appreciation for the arches.
It is a whole other way of living that seems to be at a nice slower pace. Here’s to Italy!
Hi Carol, I fell in love with Italy from Under the Tuscan Sun too. It seems idyllic to live in a villa in the countryside.
Ever since I saw Under the Tuscan Sun, I have thought it would be wonderful to own a house in Italy. Wouldn’t it be fun!
what a great deal! I wouldn’t leave home if I lived there lol.
wow – what I wouldn’t give! Those arches are amazing!
