A Sweet Victorian Yellow House: The “Daffodil”
Here is simply a charming Victorian yellow house named The “Daffodil” for sale. I get distracted when I see Victorian homes with all their gingerbread trimmings. The “Daffodil” is in Pacific Grove, California that is close to the ocean where the Candy Cane Lane Storybook Cottage I featured is too.
The listing says:
“One of Pacific Groves finest! The “Daffodil” embodies Victorian elegance at its best.”
No dreary, rainy day can stamp out the joy this bright yellow Victorian house must give to the neighborhood. The home flaunts a lot of adornment inside and out.
Victorian Yellow House: The Daffodil
The decorative white fencing gift-wraps the house and the fence matches the adornment fencing on the upper decks. There is a beautiful shaker roof cap on the tower. I wonder if the interesting three circles that first caught my attention mean something special.
Entry and Front Room
Upon entering you will see Victorian home decorating throughout in the wallpaper, curtains, and lighting.
Family Room and Eating Area
Beautiful floors and a nice family room off the kitchen plus a lovely eating area enclosed by the bay window.
The Kitchen
Formal Dining Room
Climbing the stairs, we are met by the door to the second-floor deck that appears to be part of the Victorian house tower so many fans of this architecture love.
Beautiful Bedrooms and Bathrooms
Two of the three bedrooms are on the first floor.
Back down the stairs and outside to see the perfectly manicured landscaping and walkways.
The Daffodil is on a corner lot that shows off its custom moldings and spindles.
The ocean is less than a block away from this sweet Victorian yellow house called The Daffodil. She is, of course, pricey at $1,995,000. See more photos and details with Alain Pinel Realtors.

Your welcome of course. Love your story about your own home and wallpaper is the worst to strip off, I so agree. You had me intrigued about the Abalone House and I looked around and found a video about the home. It is marvelous. Have a nice rest of the week.
Hi Cyndi, that is right, I remember now that you mentioned your friend’s Victorian in Napa. All homes should have upper decks and turrets!
Next time I am in the area looking for homes to feature, I am going to try to remember to check with you first. I love how you know the areas so well and have nice stories about them.
I really love the bay window eating areas and the master bath too, especially the double sinks.
I often look at homes for sale in Pacific Grove – it is just one of those places. Back in the late 1990s, Lynette Jennings had a home design show and one of my favorites was a victorian in Pacific Grove – The Abalone House. I was inspired by it a lot when working on my own home – though without the wallpaper as I had already stripped off more wallpaper then anyone should have to in their life – or it seemed that way. Thanks for the post!
Victorians hold a special place in my heart since my best friend owns a beauty in Napa. This one is pretty spectacular – I just love the upper deck and porch below. Turrets are winners for me too. Great find.
Pacific Grove has some beautiful houses. We rented an Air B&B one Christmas and we were a block from the famous 17 Mile Driver.
In all honesty, jealousy was soaring through my veins when I saw this house lol. I love the kitchen nook area and the bathrooms are simply divine! Darn it – the whole house is simply mouth-watering!
