Valentines Day Gift for Mr. Duck
Valentines Day Gift for Mr. Duck
Mr. Duck has been with me forever. When we installed new kitchen cabinets years ago he went right back to his station in life, holding kitchen towels.
It’s a handy location just above the sink. More often than not the towel is damp and hangs to dry here.
On a recent trip to Home Goods I found him a Valentines Day towel to wear.
I knew when I saw the Valentines Day linens that I had to buy some.
They were calling my name, I could verbally hear it, I pinky swear.
All dressed up with no place to go, so I gave him a spot here as star of the show.
Are you like me with lots of kitchen towels that look like they have been through the war? Tell me I am not the only one.
Time to update and get new kitchen linens.
This Valentines Day seemed perfect to start a new tradition.
Mr. Duck aka Sir Duck may get lucky and have something new for each holiday and in-between.
I saw this buffet at Home Goods for 499.99 and it instantly looked familiar……
Here’s the top of my desk taken a few years ago. It is basically useless to me and more of a clutter keeper. Looks like I could easily turn it into a buffet just like the Home Goods one. My idea is to remove the top and use it as the base and buy a piece of wood for the top and then paint it.
Hope you have a sweet Valentines Day.
Hi and thanks for visiting again. We have yet to accomplish this furniture renovation, but it’s definitely on the back burner.
This is such a great idea. My husband loves to take pieces of furniture apart and turn them into all kinds of other things.
Feel better and am intrigued by the little red candies you made.
What a lovely tea towel! I like changing mine depending on the seasons.
Oh yes, old dish towels make the greatest of rags.
Hi Sue, Mr. Duck is so cute and I love your new dish towel and yes I need to update some of my towels and I will turn the old ones into rags. Lol. Happy Valentines Day.

You could not of said it better Debra. I have to remember the words “dapper and heart on sleeve.” Thank you so much for visiting me today.
Thanks ARod for the nice encouragement.
Mr. Duck looks very dapper indeed, wearing his heart on his sleeve! Happy Valentine’s Day, Sue.
Debra
love mr duck’s gift super cute and the inspiration for what is sure to be a great transformation awesome cant wait to see
Mr. Duck aka Kluck says thank you for the admiration.
First off, I love Mr. Duck.
Second, I guess I will have to come clean and admit that the little red wire basket of dish towels on my cabinet often has towels that have seen better days. But, over Christmas I bought 2 different sets of red/white dish towels and threw away the sad towels.
