Martha’s Vineyard Cottage Home Tour
Martha’s Vineyard Cottage Home Tour is an exceptionally cute cottage that sits smack on the edge of the beach along Vineyard Sound. It has two bedrooms and one bathroom. A wonderful little weathered deck perfect to take in the close ocean views.
The interior is beach, shabby chic style. White painted walls and wood kitchen cabinets make a nice complement for the blue and white beach style decorating.
This Martha’s Vineyard cottage built in 1920 has 928 square feet. New owners are wanted for the asking price of $2,700,00. That’s a lot of mula for the size of the home that is no doubt fueled by its location, location, location. Oh, but wait until you see the setting this cottage is on.
The listing on Zillow says: “A rare find on Martha’s Vineyard. True ocean and beachfront living. The Herring Creek Cottage sits directly on the sandy shores of Vineyard Sound with panoramic views of the entire sound, including the Elizabeth Islands and Woods Hole. In the other direction, the property stretches to Lake Tashmoo with sweeping sunrise views.”

This delicious little Martha’s Vineyard cottage is called The Herring Creek Cottage in the listing. The home’s address is 655 Herring Creek Road Vineyard Haven, Massachusetts. I favor homes on the beach and cottages large, small, or in-between. Here then are the unobstructed ocean views and interior of the home.
Just sitting back and enjoying the waves.
The house, built back in 1920, has apparently stood the test of time against the elements.
I cannot get over the views. This home could be called – The Window Cottage.
Love the windows that even the fireplace is flanked by and then the simple blue and white furniture.
One of the two bedrooms. I kind of like the stacked washer and dryer in the bathroom idea in this cottage.
The cottage has its own (two) private sandy beaches.
I know it’s a bit pricey, but I believe you can’t help but enjoy seeing what a little cottage set right on the shores of the ocean looks like. It’s just the right size to be no trouble to maintain.
