Let’s Go See A Tybee Island Cottage
It’s almost officially summer and time to see another Tybee Island Cottage at Mermaid Cottages.
This time I picked Basking Under The Tybee Sun Cottage. I wanted to share this unusual yellow cottage with purple shutters, the front porch with purple and yellow checked floor, and private outdoor shower surrounded by a purple fence, for starters. I also thought you would like to see all the cheerful beach colors on the walls, furniture, and accessories.
If you’re new here and haven’t seen a Tybee Island cottage or heard about Mermaid Cottages at Tybee Island, Georgia, it is a wonderful place to go on vacation. Many of the cottages are historic treasures and all the cottages are decorated in lively beach cottage colors.

Basking Under the Tybee Sun cottage is a two-story, with a fenced-in yard and is listed as “pet-friendly,” that means you can bring your pet on vacation with you! I could hardly believe it when I saw the yellow and purple checked floor and the purple TYBEE letters painted on the floor. This is the front screened in porch.
I like the “new pool” just outside the back screened-in porch. Not all the cottages have a private pool which is another reason Basking Under the Tybee Sun cottage grabbed my attention.
This Tybee Island cottage has an outdoor shower enclosed by a purple fence.
On the reviews for this cottage, a family say’s the outdoor shower was handy for showering off sand before going into the house after a day at the beach.
