Waterfront Craftsman Home for sale in Bainbridge Island, Washington
Craftsman home for sale. I stumbled onto an architect’s own waterfront home for sale. It’s a craftsman home on the waterfront on Bainbridge Island, WA. I found this listing on Estately and after looking at the awe-inspiring home, I looked up its location on the map because I had no idea where Bainbridge Island was.
But wait… before you too look up Bainbridge Island, take a look at this craftsman beauty.
At first look, I fell in love with this Craftsman home. Hubby said he thinks it is too busy and did not like it, so I looked again…., nah…I still like it. Listed at $1,785,000 with 3 bedrooms, 3.5 baths, and 3360 sq ft.
It is on the beach and I admire all the landscaping especially the globe bushes/evergreens and the contrasting colors of red, yellow and green.
Inside entrance area has a lot going on, so take some time to glance around, with transom windows above the entrance door and continuing above the doorway to the left. Craftsman stairway column details, and look at the insert in the wall at the landing of the stairs going up. An entrance that keeps on giving. Wonder about the rest of this Craftsman home?
Windows and craftsman woodwork glory along with bookcase built-ins. I think I will stay awhile and gaze out at the view.
Dining area continues the views. I am looking at the light over the table and think it mirror’s the window design.
Walk out to the deck.
Open to kitchen
The kitchen craftsman cabinets keep the theme of the front windows. It is huge and I like the area for the books in the island and the cooktop. But, note the booth against the wall with the windows above that gives an “I am at a restaurant feeling.” I am crazy for booths in a house that are in the kitchen or finished basement.
Bump out look-out
Masterful master bedroom. Just look at that view!

Update: It has been some time since I did this post, but hubby now says he does like this house and even pointed out some features I did not notice; alas I am vindicated! Update: This home has now been sold.
