Cottage for sale in Carmel by the Sea
Cottage in Carmel by the Sea. You can hear the sounds of the sea from here.
It’s February and I need to do a cottage by the ocean. As soon as I gazed at this house I started to relax.
Caramel by the Sea, California is the location of this cottage and it makes me want to live there.
If you haven’t heard, Caramel by the Sea is famous for its delightful fairy tale cottages. I’ll show you a few of the most endearing, but first a look at this one……
Cottage inside and out. Pleasing golden glow inside like the golden glow of Carmel by the Sea, California.
Bit of the fairy tale look. Is that another horse on the table?
Pretty small kitchen and the cabinets look like they need an update. I like the two lights over the sink though.
Even some of the fairy tale cottages have ceilings like this.
All of the home values in Carmel are in the millions.
There is something to be said for not having to bend to get your clothes out of the washer and dryer.
Nice cottage gathering place outside that looks like it is used quite a bit.
Cottage at nighttime. I love the lights on the tree trunks here. This home is priced at $1,999,00 with 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms and 1,600 square feet and seems a delight. I did not know there is a movie out called Carmel by the Sea with an all-star cast, so now, I have to see it!
In 1924 Hugh Comstock hand-built a cottage called Hansel, with no regular tools, for his wife’s doll collection, as she had run out of room for them. So began the fairy tale feel of the town of Carmel by the Sea, as other artists, poets, and writers living there asked Comstock to build them fairy tale cottages too. Then the town itself was redesigned with whimsical shops and streets named Cinderella Lane and Secret Garden Passageway, for example. What kid would not delight to visit this wonderful place?
Gretel house. This place, its homes, shops, and streets all fascinate me. An odd fact of the place is a city ordinance of No High Heels, due to tripping hazards on the uneven streets, and that’s fascinating to me too. Do you have a most favorite Carmel by the Sea house? Would you move there? Yep, I would in a Cinderella-minute! Hope you liked the house for sale too!
Credit to Trulia and Lore Longner of Coldwell Banker for the cottage listing.
